365 Days of buggle tips Part 2

Tip #23 - Other options on the scores page.
You can find and compare you buggle to score to all members (default), your friends, and the members of the groups you are part of by clicking on all members on the top and pick what you want to compare.
Currently you only see people’s scores that have played in the last 30 days. You can pick the time period you want to look at also.By clicking on last 30 days (default) and selecting 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or all time.

Tip #24 - People in peach?
They are people on your friends list!!! So you can see who on your friends list you can pass!!!
Tip #25 - My profile and buggle.
After playing a few games you will notice a point graph start to develop. This shows the general trend of your scores during your last x amount of games from oldest to most recent (left to right). Your profile also tells you how many points you currently have, how many times you've played, And how many hours you've spent playing that game. (pic)

Tip #26-28 - I should have gained or lost points!!!
Some games are designated as no point games by the host. No change in your ranking score should occur after a no points game. A designated no point game will have (no points) after it. “Buggle (no points)”

Tip #27 - Disconnects
If you disconnect before you place the very first marker you will not lose points for that game. The same goes for your opponent. Neither player should lose or gain points... in a 3 or 4 player game the game will continue on... just with one less person.

Tip #27.5 Disconnects continued
If you disconnect after placing a marker you most likely will finish in last and lose points. (exceptions to this will be discussed in Buggle Ethics)

Tip #28 - 512 Rule
If you are playing against a player(s) that (all) have 513 less points than you than you will recieve no points for beating that player(s). If you have 513 less points than your opponent and you lose you should not lose any points... although there are times when you may lose 1.

Tip #29 - 512 Rule
If you have 513 less points than your opponent and you win!!! You should receive ~ 20 points. So it is in your best interest as a beginner to play high ranked players. (if they kick you send them a pm asking to play and maybe for some advice... that goes back to tip #4) You won't lose points but you have everything to gain.

Tip #30 - 512 Rule For Very High Raters and Low Raters.
Low Raters- When you encounter phrases from high raters like "I'm waiting for someone" or "I'm playing for points" They could be waiting for someone but it is likely that they are trying to politely say that the 520 rule will apply and they are trying to increase their buggle score. And that you don't have enough points for them to gain a point...
High Raters- When you are in the mood to win points (in other words you have a wildcard and are looking for challengers within a couple 100 points) Try to be as courteous as you can. I find that "Sorry I'm waiting for someone" is generally excepted pretty good and for your conscience... It’s not really a lie... because you are waiting for someone that has a higher buggle score.

Tip #31 - Lost points on a Tie? What?
Unfortunately a small glitch in the scoring system for buggle... In the case of a tie the person that didn't host the game will lose points... :( (pic)

Tip #32 -  This thread is pointless
I know what you're thinking... I already know this... this is boring... why not some strategy man!!! Well... according to half of the population of the CC there is no strategy in buggle... Hear both sides... how you view buggle as a game defines how you play it. My view is always changing. Look around in here and you will see what other people have to say.

Tip #33 - Go make a snowfort!!!
Take a break Buggle is not a game that you can get better at by putting your nose to the grindstone... I find that the best cure for a buggle slump is simply to not play buggle for awhile. Seriously... Take some time. Start a new hobby. Try something you've always wanted to try.

365 Days worth of Buggle Tips

Tips generally going from beginner to advanced

Tip #1 - Listen to Music
It ‘s a proven fact that listening to music has increased my winning percentage in buggle...

Like people, buggles have different tastes for music... and no offense but they get kind of sick of the buggle music... One way to get them on your side is to find what kind of music they like. You will notice a significant difference in your playing abilities.

Tip #1.5 - Music helps you let go
I think the real reason that listening to music you like helps is because you tend to relax... Less "stuff" is whizzing around inside your head... and you tend to have that extra bit of patience and perception that is essential in buggle...

Tip #2 – Know what buggles are.
Knowing the ins and outs of any game is crucial... In DTD the good players know the ins and outs of all the towers and types of creeps... in DA the good players know the strengths and weaknesses of each ship. Why should it be any different in buggle?

Tip #3 - Chat it up!!!
Get to know some people... Buggle is the only game on the cc right now that you can have decent conversation with people while you are playing. Who knows who you'll meet! I've met and become friends with a vampire, a midget, a fly, a sanitar, and a caterpie all because of buggle.
Don't be afraid to talk!!!

Tip #4 - Ask for Tips!!!
Don't be afraid to ask for advice. Almost all of the high ranked buggle players won't bite (with the exception of Imavampire...) Take advantage of this.

Tip #5 - Where should I start?
I think 4 player buggle is the place to start. It’s more fun than a 2 player buggle game and getting continuously whooped by 300+ point players every game. I think the basics you learn in 4 player buggle are universal throughout 2, 3, and 4 player buggle.

Tip #6-10 - Scoring? confusing...
When I began buggle... yes I was a beginner once... I didn't understand how the scoring worked... I was winning all the time but I had a lower score than the opponent... how does that work...
Each round you get two markers to place. The first time you place a marker and all the buggles are captured you get a score by your name. Yes!!! I am winning!!!

Tip #7 - What do I do with the second marker?
Then the second round begins and you have to place a second marker... The second marker gives you the opportunity to try to attack and capture another player’s buggles, or to defend the buggles you captured on the first turn from attack. (Tips on doing this will come as we move on)

Tip #8 - So how do I score points?(this sounds like nonsense, but I swear I know what I’m trying to say!!!)
The score you get for the round [b]is[/...... (read on)
